Salsa and Rainbowjoy
- I would like to wrap up the whole world in a soft bubble to lessen discord and dissonance. Since I can only do that in my thoughts, I have instead created something that literally reduces noise, and is tactile and friendly.Woolbubbles are sound absorbing textile wall elements that are both tactile and decorative. In the field of interior design there is currently a lot of discussion about how to solve acoustic problems, but there is little choice of suitable products.
Woolbubbles are unique among acoustic products and easy to fit into different environments: the beautiful wool textile shapes may be combined in many different ways and there are 60 colours to choose from. In different groups, friezes and single.
You can choose to make expressive shapes and colours or use white and simpler shapes.
As opposed to other products they are thin around the edges and built up towards the middle, which creates a neat, sculptural feeling, where the intermediate space is as important as the shapes.
The "curvy"movements of salsa dance have been an inspiration for the design and likewise the joy I get from working with the whole spectrum of colours.
Woolbubbles was exhibited at the Designersblock as part of the International Furniture Fair il Salone del Mobile in Milan 18-23 April.
